This setting, for a change, is in a modern language - Italian. It will be evident, however, even to a dyed in the wool traditionalist, that the language is really not so far removed from the Latin. There are somewhat pungent harmonies in places, but these should present no difficulty to an experienced choir. whilst even a less experience one should be able, with a little work and patience, to take on the piece successfully.
