The motets of Homilius are among the most demanding and interesting works for choir. The composer creates a captivating combination of contrapuntal techniques with the new, sensitive compositional style of his days. After the sensational first CD featuring his motets with Frieder Bernius and the Kammerchor Stuttgart, the vocal ensemble sirventes berlin under the direction of Stefan Schuck presents a further selection of the over 60 motets by Homilius.
