This work is a medley of 3 previously recorded pieces of contrasting style, meter and tempos. "Cloud Theory" is a haunting ECM-like ballad which has solo opportunities for tenor or alto. this quickly transitions to "Sum Blues" which is a medium swing minor blues with a bridge containing a section of various solos that get added together with each chorus or "collective solos. " The closing piece, "Cafà LeRenoir" is another ECM influenced work but done as a slow jazz waltz. Medium difficulty level 4. The brass ranges are easy trumpet 1 written to Bb5. just above the staff. and E4. trombone. but the transitions and chord changes are rather challenging.
